International Woolmark Prize 2020

As the first major prize of its kind that platformed fashion innovation, the International Woolmark Prize needed to reinstate itself as the original program that pushes creativity forward through each generation of standout designers.

An invigorated approach from SUPERIMPOSE paved a new framework strategically and creatively by elevating the year long program and final presentation to new heights.

Delivering full creative concept, direction, content and experiential, its roots in innovation came through as a new direction under a ‘traceability’ narrative that puts materials, processes and people first.

From branding to content to runway, we recognise fashion’s new role in a changing landscape.

One hero screen poised in central position within the space, introducing a bespoke moving image piece inspired by materiality, evolutionary processes, nature and of course wool, providing a breadth of colour, depth and texture to the runway space, amplified by epic light design and an original musical score from Mira Calix.

A space that brought together world renowned judges such as Kim Jones, Sinead Burke, Takashi Murakami and Shaway Yeh, and the best emerging fashion talent from Bode & Richard Malone to A-Cold-Wall*, it accumulated to become a progressive step into a new chapter for the prestigious prize.
